Career Launchpad at Edathala Government High School
Oleevia Foundation, under Project Shashakt Bachpan and the Gyaan Initiative, hosted a career development session for Class 12 students at Edathala Government High School. Guided by Krishnakumar K T, CMD, Oleevia Group,the programme combined actionable planning with inspiration. Learners explored pathways in STEM, commerce,humanities, and vocational tracks, aligning choices with aptitude, values, and finances. The session stressed clarity and next steps for admissions, scholarships, entrance tests, and skill-building.
The core session was led by Ms Sreeja,Coordinator, Jnan Institute of Bharat (JIB),who unpacked decision frameworks for stream selection, entrance timelines, and portfolio building. She demonstrated how to map interests to occupations using aptitude indicators, interviews, and college tools.Students received templates for target lists,application calendars, and statement drafting. Psychologist and Chief Project Manager, Mr Gautam Ramakrishnan,delivered a session on the psychology behind career development. He explained how clarity emerges from self-efficacy, feedback, and deliberate practice, while anxiety reduces through planning and micro-actions.Students practised goal visualisation, habit loops, and review rituals.
The programme was delivered in collaboration with Malayala Manorama, the Inner Wheel Club of Rotary Global Cochin, and the Jnan Institute of Bharat, ensuring reach, resources, and mentorship continuity. Students received bilingual checklists, college search sheets, and a 30–60–90 day action plan. Partners committed to follow-up clinics on applications, mock interviews, and scholarship discovery, while teachers will anchor monthly progress circles.Oleevia Foundation will run parent orientations, aptitude support,and curated webinars on emerging careers. With continued guidance from Krishnakumar K T, CMD, Oleevia Group, Project Shashakt Bachpan and the Gyaan Initiative will deepen support across campuses in Kerala over the coming year.
